Membership
Membership, as defined in MGYC Bylaws, is open to South Carolina Master Gardeners and MGYC interns upon payment of the annual dues. The membership form may be completed online with payment of dues via PayPal. The form may also be printed and the payment of dues remitted by check made payable to 'Master Gardeners of York County'. The form is available at Membership Renewal Page. The membership year runs from October 1 through September 30. The deadline for membership is September 30 to be included in the Directory.
MGYC also welcomes master gardeners from other regions to join us after providing verification of active status (graduated and reported volunteer hours) from their former affiliation. Transferees are required to pay a registration fee, audit the complete Clemson Cooperative Extension MG program, and pass a final exam. Upon successful completion, transferees should notify president@yorkmg.org of their desire to join the organization and pay the membership fee.
