Ask A Master Gardener
You've got questions? We've got answers!
During the growing season from March to November (ending the week before Thanksgiving), Master Gardeners are available at Glencairn Garden, 825 Edgemont Avenue, Rock Hill, on the first Saturday of each month and every subsequent Friday during the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer questions related to garden-related issues. Look for Master Gardeners wearing green vests or t-shirts who will be circulating outside in the garden or in the Learning Center. After hours or at other times of the year, the public is invited to submit inquiries to info@yorkmg.org.
You will also find Master Gardeners at the Clover, Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, and Rock Hill public libraries, as well as other scheduled venues. Check out our upcoming events calendar for specific locations, dates, and times to meet with us in person at www.yorkmg.org.
Soil sample test kits are available at the Learning Center on Master Gardener Fridays or during the business day at the Clemson York County Extension Office, 120 N. Congress St., York. Soil sampling and testing provide a scientific basis for maintaining optimum soil fertility levels and proper soil pH values to help attain maximum plant growth and lawn health.
