The Master Gardeners of York County, SC, recently awarded two $2,300 Lannie Love Education Scholarships (LLES).  Recipients are McKenna Johnson and Riley McGee. 

A graduate of Clover High School, Ms. Johnson will attend Clemson University where she will major in Agricultural Education and Agribusiness.

Ms. McGee was graduated from South Pointe High School.  She will study Environmental Science at Winthrop University.


Blair Abernathy was graduated from Clover High School. She will attend Clemson University and study

Wildlife Biology/Forestry. She lives in Clover, SC.

Gunnar Black was graduated from York Comprehensive High School. He will attend Clemson University

to study Ag Mech. and Business. He lives in York, SC.


Jake Faulkner continues to study at the Agriculture, Forestry and life sciences College of Clemson

University. He is majoring in Agriculture Education. He was graduated from Indian Land High School and

is currently serving as a South Carolina state FFA Vice President.

Kayla Jackson continues to study at Clemson University and Major in Agriculture Education. She is

from Rock Hill and has a goal to run an agritourism farm to educate the public about agriculture.

Calvin Currie was graduated from Indian Land High School. He will Attend Lander University and study

Environmental Science then transfer to Clemson University to study Forestry He lives in Indian Land.

Kristen Stacks was graduated from Buford High School. She will attend Spartanburg Community College

to study Horticulture and then transfer to Clemson University for her Bachelor's degree. She lives in
