Grant Application for Support of Educational Gardens

Each year the Master Gardeners of York County offer Educational Gardening Grants up to $500 for first-time applicants and up to $250 for recurring applicants.  To be eligible applicants must be starting or maintaining a flower or vegetable garden project in York, Chester, or Lancaster County that is dedicated to educating members of the community about the healthful and gratifying benefits of gardening.  Applicants can be individuals or groups such as schools, senior centers, community centers or gardening clubs.  Grant funds can be used for soil, plants, seeds, garden tools, or any other supplies needed to build or maintain the gardens.

Each year total funding for the grants is limited, and applications are considered on a first-come, first served basis.  Submit your application by August 1 each year to info@yorkmg.org.

Thank you for your community service and your interest in gardening!
